A Cornish telemarketing team is proving that dedication pays off, making 250,000 successful calls for a single client from its office in Penryn.

The team, an arm of Falmouth-based PR and marketing agency The John Knowles Company, was created in 2004 to support direct marketing to fork lift truck users on behalf of Mitsubishi. Frustrated by the inflexibility of outsourced telemarketing services, the client persuaded JKC to undertake the work in-house.

The team quickly established itself as a vital part of the business, and now the telemarketers serve clients of all sizes, from local hotels to international corporations.

Managing director John Knowles added: “The telemarketing team is essential for us and for our clients, especially at the moment. Times are certainly tough but there is still business out there.  Our expertise lies in digging out the leads for our clients to convert into sales.
