Cornwall Care has launched a calendar for 2010, with all money raised from sales to be reinvested in the homes’ Active Life fund, supporting activities and outings for clients.

The unique calendar includes personal stories from some of Cornwall Care’s clients as well as photos and their personal artwork, which has been used to illustrate the months of the year.

Cornwall Care, which runs 18 care homes across the Duchy, has produced the calendar to celebrate the lives and talent of their clients.  Three thousand copies of the calendar have been produced and they will be sold for £3 each.

Ray Liles, Cornwall Care’s sensory development manager said: “After the success of the recipe book earlier this year it made sense to produce something else that our clients could be a part of.  When the idea of a calendar was first suggested there was no doubt in my mind that the wonderful people who live with us and enjoy our services would be its sole inspiration.

“People throughout the company have contributed towards the calendar and it is our intention that they will benefit from the sales of it.  All of the money from every sale will be reinvested into our Active Life fund which supports activities and outings for all of our clients.”

The calendar, which was designed by Cornwall Care in partnership with Sarah Talbot from The Design Studio in Truro, includes pictures and stories from clients from across the county.  The calendars are available to buy from any of Cornwall Care’s 18 care homes and from Cornwall Care’s main office in Truro.
