Editorial director Nick Eyriey is an experienced and respected journalist having spent some 20 years in the local and national press working with newspapers such as The Yorkshire Post, Today, The Sun, and the Mail on Sunday.

One of Cornwall’s leading design agencies has had two pieces of work shortlisted in this year’s Media Innovation Awards, which celebrate excellence in screen-based media and design across the south west.

Falmouth-based Gendall Design provided the creative impetus behind the web site for Dott (Designs of the Time) Shot – a website aimed at getting people to select images representing what inspires them about Cornwall.

The project is part of a wider Dott initiative that brings communities and designers together to generate solutions to major social and economic challenges. The site has been shortlisted for the Community Web Use category, which recognises innovation in a website produced for a not-for-profit organisation or charity.

Gendall is also the creative brains behind University College Falmouth’s 2009/2010 prospectus, with the resulting publication nominated for an award in the Print Graphics category, which rewards innovation in a graphic design project for print.

Tess Gendall, founder and managing director of Gendall Design, said: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted for two awards this year, particularly as they are two very different categories which wholly endorse our expertise in both print and digital.”
