Mike Eathorne-Gibbons has been elected as chairman of the Mid Cornwall branch of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).

Eathorne-Gibbons, who is a businessman based in Truro, has tourism and property interests in Cornwall and France and is also a Cornwall Councillor.

He said: “I’m honoured that members voted me into this position. I pledge to do all I can to further their best interests in these turbulent economic times.

“The newly elected Committee supporting me is to act as a team and comprises members with experience as well as new faces. We are bubbling with ideas to ensure that the profile of business and that of the FSB is enhanced.”
