Coastline Services' new MD Darren Gunn
Pool-based property and grounds specialist Coastline Services Ltd (CSL) has appointed a new managing director.
Darren Gunn steps up to the MD position from his contracts manager post at Coastline, having worked in the construction industry for over 19 years.
He has been a contracts manager for the past seven years, managing a variety of schemes in the private sector, and started his career as a carpenter/joiner with Ponsanooth-based E Thomas Construction (later known as Mowlem).
As MD of Coastline Services, Gunnwill head an organisation with a turnover of in excess of £4M, which currently employs over 70 staff including a large response maintenance fleet and on-site recycling depot.
Robert Nettleton, chief executive at parent company Coastline Housing, said: “We are absolutely delighted to appoint Darren as managing director following a rigorous recruitment process. He brings substantial private sector experience and a commercial attitude, alongside a firm commitment to local employment, which will drive the company forward.
Gunn added: “I am immensely proud to be appointed as managing director of Coastline Services Limited. CSL has tremendous potential, which we will drive to fulfill, with particular emphasis on expanding our external maintenance and build market share. We pride ourselves on employing local resource and use our local supply chain, which ultimately is of benefit to the local economy.”
Coastline Services is a local property and grounds maintenance company, offering everything from a new build to a new tap. The company works in both the public and private sectors, and specialises in areas such as housing refurbishment, kitchen and bathroom installation, double glazing manufacture and install, and planned and responsive property and grounds maintenance.
