Expert legal and financial advice from two leading Cornish firms will be on offer to hospitality businesses at the biggest catering exhibition of the year.
Coodes Solicitors and Independent financial advisers Worldwide Financial Planning are joining forces at 2009’s ExpoWest, where they will set up a free surgery – the Business and Finance Advice Centre. ExpoWest, taking place at the Royal Cornwall Showground in Wadebridge from March 3-5, is the premier event for hospitality and catering industry.
Peter Lamble from Coodes’ business services team said: “ExpoWest is the big event which enables hoteliers, caterers, food and drink companies to prepare for the tourism season.
“We want to support businesses and ensure their legal and financial arrangements are sound so they can continue to prosper.
“In particular we aim to make sure they are prepared for what may potentially be the busiest season for some years.”
Malcolm Bell, chief executive of South West Tourism, threw his support behind the opportunity and urged hospitality businesses to seek advice in preparation for the season ahead.He said: “Tourism in the South West is facing a challenging time for 2009 but there is still plenty of opportunity to target holidaymakers keen to stay in the UK this year.
“It’s especially important to make sure your business is robust. The business advice on offer from Coodes and Worldwide at ExpoWest could prove extremely valuable for small businesses that make up the backbone of our tourism industry.”
Peter McGahan, managing director of Worldwide Financial Planning, said: “Despite what the doom mongers have been saying, banks are still more than happy to support good businesses and projects.
“We have been extremely busy over the last two months broking excellent terms for customers. 2009 will be a year of maximizing return and minimizing costs and risks”
The Business and Finance Advice Centre will be at Stand F169 during ExpoWest, March 3-5 2009.
