Pub quiz for design types

The Cornwall Design Forum is hosting its first design quiz, a chance for creative folks in Cornwall to pit their wits against their peers and enjoy a drink for a good cause.

Cornwall joins Paris, New York, Moscow…

This week, Cornwall will join cities around the world in a celebrating a Live Aid style series of charity events stretching from Moscow to Mumbai, Hong Kong to Houston. Global centres such as; London, Paris, New York and Milan will all celebrate in their own style with all local events taking place on the same evening, the 25th March, this Thursday.

In Cornwall, some of the Duchy’s top live music acts are set to play a night of live music at the Vertigo Bar in the centre of Truro, with renowned Cornish Indie band, The Hitchcock Rules, headlining. All proceeds from the events will go directly to the worldwide cause, Concern Worldwide, a humanitarian charity which helps transform the lives of the world’s poorest children through access to education.

Pirate FM launches Haiti appeal

Local radio station Pirate FM is launching an on-line auction appeal to raise money for the Disaster Emergency Committee’s Haiti appeal under the name “Hope for Haiti”.
